WHAT QUALIFIES AS AN EMERGENCY?

  • Major water leak or flooding.
  • No heat in extreme cold temps and no air in extreme hot temps.
  • Electrical hazards or outages.
  • Fire or life-threatening situations (call 911 immediately).

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS FOR COMMON ISSUES

  • Smoke Detector Issues

    Replace the battery or test with approved smoke spray.

  • Power Outlets Not Working

    Check the breaker panel and reset any tripped breakers. Test GFI outlets.

  • Garbage Disposal Problems

    Press the reset button, clear obstructions, or use a wrench to unjam the disposal.

  • Clogged Toilets

    Use a plunger and test with a flush.

  • Dishwasher Won't Drain

    Clean food debris from the bottom or clear the drain line.

  • Refrigerator Not Cooling

    Check the thermostat settings and clean lint from filters.

  • No Heat and/or Air Conditioning

    Replace thermostat batteries, check the breaker, or clean filters. Also check the switch in the utility room, if aplicable, to make sure the switch is turned on.

  • Electrical Outage

    Reset breakers or contact the local electric company to confirm outages.
